Nasa posted 4 years ago: “We’re going to moon to stay by 2024”

In 2019, NASA made a bold promise: to send humans back to the moon by 2024. This was a lofty goal, given that it had been 50 years since the last Apollo mission. But NASA was confident that they could do it, thanks to new technologies like the Space Launch System (SLS) and the Orion spacecraft.

However, four years later, it’s clear that NASA’s promise was unrealistic. The SLS is still under development, and the Orion spacecraft has yet to be tested in deep space. There are also a number of other challenges that NASA will need to overcome before they can send humans back to the moon, such as developing a reliable way to land on the lunar surface.

So why did NASA make such a crazy promise? Some people believe that it was a political decision, made in an attempt to boost support for NASA and space exploration. Others believe that NASA was simply overconfident in their ability to achieve their goals.

Whatever the reason, NASA’s promise to go to the moon by 2024 is now looking increasingly unlikely. It’s possible that they will be able to make it happen, but it’s going to take a lot of hard work and dedication. And even if they do succeed, it’s unlikely that they will be able to stay on the moon for any extended period of time.

So what does this mean for the future of space exploration? It’s a setback, but it’s not the end of the story. NASA is still committed to sending humans back to the moon, and they will continue to work towards that goal. And even if NASA doesn’t succeed, other countries and private companies are also working on their own plans to go to the moon.

The future of space exploration is still uncertain, but one thing is for sure: it’s going to be exciting. And who knows, maybe one day we’ll actually be able to live on the moon to stay.

In conclusion, NASA’s promise to go to the moon by 2024 was crazy. But it’s also a reminder of the importance of dreaming big and never giving up on our goals.
